This 10-inch by 10-inch microgreen shallow planting tray is made of thick and durable plastic.
These inserts can be used indoors or outdoors and with both soil and hydroponic applications. Drainage slots are used for both removing excess water and allowing for use with flood trays.
Remember, bottom watering microgreens keeps the leaves dry and reduces fungus and disease issues. Also, the bottom watering method stops soil from splashing up on the microgreens reducing the possibility of having to wash the microgreens before consumption.

The outside dimensions of each insert are 10 3/8″ by 10 1/2″ by 1 1/4″. The inside planting surface area is a little over 96 square inches.
Two of these trays fit into a shallow 1020 tray.
Trays are made of heavy-duty, recycled, food-grade, polypropylene plastic. These smaller trays are made of the same material as the 1020 trays in the video below.
I lied in the video (sorry it’s older – time to update the video!) we now do have the shallow 1010 microgreen trays!
